Film Noir Thursdays: Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer involves two characters signature to Film Noir; the detective and the femme fatale. The sequence moves for the most part in a non-linear fashion, which is also noted in the genre. The transitions between scenes are inspired by the light cast in the first scene, using the triangular shape. A Dutch tilt features, which causes instability within the scene and its happenings. The final moment of realisation, with the flame lighting creates a final feeling of unease within the viewer and answers the question of 'who shot who'.
